A strong emphasis is placed on the impact of display and merchandising on store sales and profitability, making it essential for the Display Artist to engage customers through their display work on the sales floor. Additionally, the role may involve driving community connection through workshops, events, and gatherings when applicable. In terms of leadership and team management, the Display Artist is expected to mentor the team by training them on visual expectations, operational standards, and the management of materials and tools. Participation in store meetings is also required to share inspiration, new ideas, and relevant information from both the Home Office and Field Leadership. The Display Artist should take initiative with each project to enhance display experiences and elevate their craft, while also supporting the identification and training of future display talent. From a visual and business operations perspective, the Display Artist collaborates in the display planning process by sharing inspiration, generating ideas, and sketching. They prioritize projects and monitor progress with timelines while adhering to the visual budget. The role requires applying seasonal direction and inspiration provided by the Home Office to meet the unique needs of the store, building fixtures, and maintaining signage that upholds presentation standards. The Display Artist is also responsible for creating and installing high-quality interior and window displays, ensuring clean de-installation, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in back-of-house display areas.
