About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, Annual Giving, the Annual Giving Coordinator is a key role within the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society’s annual giving program, tactically executing the organization’s direct mail, tele-fundraising, legacy, online, and monthly giving programs. This role works closely with the Manager, Annual Giving, as well as internal and external cross-functional teams, to successfully execute our campaigns with a focus on meeting campaign timelines and fundraising revenue goals. This role is based out of Provincial Office with eligibility to participate in our flexible work program.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks with a high volume of work, often with tight deadlines.
  • College and/or university degree or an equivalent combination of education in marketing, fundraising or related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant fundraising-related experience.
  • Experience with Direct Response preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Raiser’s Edge.
  • Proven project management and customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Pro-active, self-directed and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities on tight deadlines.

  • Prior experience with Engaging Networks or Luminate Online an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Direct Mail Campaigns: Act as a key relationship manager with external vendor partners, ensuring successful and on-time delivery of the organization’s direct mail and tele-fundraising programs. Oversee each direct mail campaign delivery from kickoff to the donor’s mailbox by coordinating the various components of the campaign with a focus on seeking internal approvals on copy, art, and laser lives. Source stories and content for campaigns with guidance of external partners and communications team. Provide relevant content and assets to digital fundraising team.
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Monitor and provide weekly results reporting on any active direct mail or tele-fundraising campaigns. Assist with expense tracking for campaigns. Pull results on campaign testing or other donor analytics as required. Extract data from Raisers Edge for all annual giving, legacy and tele-fundraising campaigns following the approved data segmentation strategy. Create and maintain seed lists and appeal records in Raisers Edge. As needed, manually input or import database updates to Raiser’s Edge to keep donor data current and accurate.
  • Coordinate telemarketing campaigns: Monitor daily call reports and campaign results. Follow up on requests for call recordings. Track pledge responses. Update database with return data from call centre. Liaise with finance department on processing of gifts.
  • Provide support to the monthly donor program as needed.
  • Support the Development department operational needs.
  • Regular collaboration with other departments within the Society.
  • Other duties as required by the Society.
