About the position
The Animal Caretaker/Administrator position at Chez Mieux is a part-time role focused on the care and well-being of cats in a busy cat-only boarding facility. The role combines animal care responsibilities with office duties, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both the cats and their families.
Responsibilities
- Feeding cats and administering medications
- Keeping records of their feedings and medication administration
- Cleaning cat condos as well as work environment
- Answering phone calls and responding to voicemail messages
- Scheduling
- Conducting check-ins and check-outs including taking payments
- Interacting in a calm, friendly manner with guests' family members
- Supervising secondary staffers during busy seasons
- Spending time with cats during their playtime outside of their condos and providing the TLC all cats need.
Requirements
- Previous experience in animal care or other related fields
- Ability to interact with cats in a calm, non-threatening manner
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to conduct reception desk duties such as filing, scheduling, interacting with customers
- Must have reliable transportation to be in on bad weather days.
