About the position

Cleans, sterilizes, disinfects, orders, stocks, and maintains routine and special-order anesthesia supplies and equipment. Assists licensed anesthesia care providers in a variety of patient-focused settings including the routine preparation of patients who are scheduled to receive anesthesia for a surgical, interventional, or diagnostic procedure. Performs first-line preventative maintenance on anesthesia gas machines, physiologic monitors, rapid infusion devices, infusion pumps and syringes. Assists licensed anesthesia care providers in catheter insertion for invasive monitoring.

• Assists licensed anesthesia care providers in preparing patients for anesthesia procedures.
• Performs preventative maintenance on anesthesia gas machines and monitors.
• Assists in catheter insertion for invasive monitoring.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BCLS certification required.
• One (1) year of related experience required.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians required.
• Strong science background preferred.
• Previous direct patient care experience with exposure to patient monitoring modalities preferred.
