About The Position

This is a 50% appointment for the Fall 2026 semester for an Analytical Chemistry Lecturer. The role involves teaching Chem 327 or Chem 329 (Fundamentals of Analytical Science). Key responsibilities include preparing course materials, presenting lectures, preparing and grading exams and homework, and holding office hours. The lecturer will serve as an initial point of contact for students regarding course content and expectations, develop instructional design and curriculum, and facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction, including student performance assessment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience teaching Chemistry is required.
  • PhD in Chemistry or related fields is required
  • Eligibility to work in the United States on or before the effective date of appointment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience teaching chemistry at the college/university level is preferred.
