About the position

The Strategy Analyst at ENGIE Insight Services Inc. is responsible for conducting research on industry trends and sustainability technologies, leading data analysis to develop insights, and preparing high-quality materials for client engagements. This role involves collaboration with senior leadership and contributing to business process improvements, all while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting working research with external resources on specific industry trends, markets, or sustainability technologies.
  • Structuring and leading expert analysis of data to develop unique insights and developing leave-behind models.
  • Developing and preparing high-quality client-facing materials for large scale transformations.
  • Planning and preparing impactful stakeholder meetings using advanced technology and digital facilitation techniques.
  • Contributing to business process designs and recommending improvements to streamline internal operations.
  • Collaborating with and receiving coaching from senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in applied sciences, environment or sustainability, engineering, mathematics, business or related field required.
  • Master's Degree preferred in MBA, applied sciences, environment or sustainability, engineering, mathematics, business or related field.
  • 1+ years of professional experience required; previous strategy experience with a competitive consulting firm preferred.
  • Experience working on quantitative issues with simulation models, especially in the energy business, is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Tools (Excel, PowerPoint) required; Google workspace is a plus.
  • Solid consulting skillset including collaborative teaming, financial analysis, issue-based problem solving, slide writing, communication, and facilitation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Exposure to or professional knowledge of engineering of power systems and/or techno-economic analysis of energy systems appreciated.
  • Capacity to engage with senior stakeholders and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as autonomously.
  • Deeply passionate about sustainability and inherently curious.
