About the position

The Analyst - Small Business Strategy Marketing role at American Express is a pivotal position within the Acquisition & Customer Marketing (ACM) team, focusing on driving market success across 23 international markets. This role is designed to attract and acquire new card members, particularly in the fast-growing small business segment, which is a key strategic pillar for the company's growth aspirations. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to the development of innovative marketing strategies that are customer-centric and scalable.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with acquisition, customer, and product CoE partners to monitor trends and identify growth opportunities across the acquisition funnel.
  • Optimize performance dashboards and reports in partnership with the analytics CoE to support data-driven decisions for senior leadership.
  • Develop a synthesized plan for customer research with market research partners to generate actionable insights for growth.
  • Support the ACM SBS Growth Plan community calls and build a centralized pool of marketing best practices and benchmarks.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in marketing or equivalent background with transferable skills.
  • Highly analytical with strong business acumen and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage and influence stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Self-motivated with strong project management skills, able to coordinate projects at scale.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities across time zones.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
