Job overview and responsibilities Network Planning and Scheduling is responsible for determining the routes, aircraft types, and timings of one of the largest and fastest-growing networks in the world. Analysts and Senior Analysts are responsible for evaluating fleets within the United Airlines network and making adjustments to optimize aircraft schedules with consideration to operational criteria.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years professional analytical work experience
  • Complex problem solving ability through independent critical thinking skills
  • Quantitative analysis skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • 3-4 years of aircraft scheduling/planning experience preferred
  • SQL, Python skills a plus

Responsibilities

  • Drive aircraft schedule development that meets operational criteria considering items such as aircraft flows, turn times, equipment type compatibility, gating constraints, crew availability, and other parameters
  • Analyze network and fleeting constraints to determine long-term fleet strategy
  • Work cross functionally with commercial and operating groups to ensure viability of network plans
  • Deploy aircraft resources to optimize the fleet for maximum revenue potential and minimize costs
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses on the profitability of United Airlines route network and fleet
