About The Position

We are looking for an Analyst (Broker)– Public Risks to join our team in our Montreal office! As an Analyst - Public Risks, you will be called upon to contribute to the performance and growth of the national executive risk insurance portfolio in collaboration with the National Practice Director, Regional Practice Directors and their teams. Requirements

  • 1-5 years’ experience in insurance brokerage or underwriting a strong asset.
  • University degree (ideally in management sciences, finance, or economics).
  • Insurance broker's license issued by the AMF, an asset.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English. The candidate will work in English with stakeholders (colleagues and customers) outside Quebec.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, PPT and Word).
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Sense of initiative and curiosity.
  • Ability and interest to evolve in a highly dynamic environment, in an atypical structure that combines order and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the operational, sectoral and financial risk factors of stock exchange companies, private businesses and non-profit organizations, and assess the adequacy and completeness of the coverages and insurance products making up these companies' insurance portfolios.
  • Position the risk profile of these companies with insurers and negotiating terms and conditions of insurance policies for directors' and officers' liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, crime insurance and cyber risk insurance.
  • Drafting presentation documents and data sheets relating to risk analysis results.
  • Drafting summary documents of risk placement exercise results.
  • Telephone and electronic negotiation with insurers.
  • Interpretation and popularization of executive risk insurance policies.
  • Gather and review underwriting information provided by customers.
  • Technical support for customers.
  • Follow-up on document issuance.
  • Maintain and update electronic documentation for the customer portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with key industry players (insurers, suppliers, customers).
