About The Position

Oversees nursing care program and staff at the assigned clinic site. Establishes and implements policies, triaging, and providing nursing care.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from two-year college or technical school in Nursing; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • May include two years or more of undergraduate college coursework.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in hospital, ambulatory clinic, or community settings.
  • Knowledge of database software, development software, internet software, payroll systems, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
  • Possess and maintain an Oklahoma Board of Nursing approved Registered Nurse license.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • Must be currently certified in CPR and maintain throughout employment.
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment and have basic computer knowledge and skills.
  • Must possess knowledge of the nursing process.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the Oklahoma Board of Nurse Practice Act rules and regulations.
  • Must have the ability to be flexible, organized, and be able to function under stressful situations.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information.
  • Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience.
  • Must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment and maintain throughout employment.
