About the position

As an Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for preparing customer orders. This role is fast-paced and physical, requiring you to work in various areas of the warehouse, including merchandise handling, customer returns, and general fulfillment. Your primary duties will involve selecting, packing, and shipping orders, including those for our rapid delivery service that promises delivery within two hours or less. You will be expected to receive and put away inventory, prepare customer orders for shipment, and load boxes onto trucks. Additionally, you will utilize scanners to read barcodes and follow prompts on screens to complete tasks efficiently. Troubleshooting issues and ensuring that products meet quality standards will also be part of your responsibilities. In this role, you will operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), such as forklifts and pallet drivers, and may work at heights of up to 40 feet. Training and certification for equipment operation will be provided at no cost. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 49 pounds, push utility carts weighing up to 60 pounds, and perform various movements such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout your shifts. You may also need to navigate stairs and work in varying temperatures, as the warehouse environment can range from 60°F to 90°F, with potential for higher temperatures in certain areas. Safety is a top priority, and you will be provided with protective gear and safety training to ensure a secure working environment.
