About the position
As an Amazon Fresh Grocery Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering an extraordinary grocery shopping experience for our customers. This position requires individuals who are passionate about customer service, eager to learn continuously, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Your daily tasks will vary based on the needs of the store, but you will be expected to engage with customers, provide product recommendations, and assist with checkout operations. You will also be responsible for processing returns, preparing fresh food items, maintaining store presentation, managing inventory, and fulfilling customer grocery orders for pickup and delivery. In this role, customer engagement is key. You will greet customers, engage in friendly conversations, and inquire about their shopping needs. Your product knowledge will be essential as you offer recommendations and provide information to help customers make informed decisions. You will operate cash registers, assist customers in self-service checkout lanes, and process in-store and Amazon.com returns. Additionally, you will prepare fresh food items such as cold salads, pizzas, rotisserie chickens, and sandwiches, ensuring that the food is of high quality and presented well. Maintaining a clean and organized sales floor is part of your responsibilities, which includes stocking shelves, setting up merchandise displays, and unloading product deliveries. You will also be involved in order fulfillment, picking items to fulfill customer grocery orders for both pickup and delivery. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, as shifts may vary between 4 a.m. and 12 a.m., and you will need to be available for full-time or part-time shifts, including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and engage in friendly conversations to understand their shopping needs.
- Offer product recommendations and provide information to assist customers in making product-related decisions.
- Use cash register to ring up customer transactions and assist customers in self-service checkout lanes.
- Receive and process in-store and Amazon.com returns.
- Prepare fresh food items such as cold salads, pizzas, rotisserie chickens, and sandwiches.
- Stock shelves and produce, set up merchandise displays, and maintain a clean sales floor.
- Unload product deliveries and organize stockroom.
- Pick items to fulfill customer grocery orders for pickup and delivery.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to understand and perform duties safely in English.
- Must have a high school or equivalent diploma.
Nice-to-haves
