About the position

The Cook/Chef at All Saints Senior Living Community plays a vital role in enhancing the dining experience for residents by preparing meals that meet dietary specifications and ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment. This position is part-time and involves working shifts primarily in the afternoons and evenings, contributing to the overall well-being of seniors in a supportive community.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
  • Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and floors, dishes, and utensils.
  • Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
  • Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
  • Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
  • Ability to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, their families, and employees.
  • Advanced computer skills, including email use.
