About the position

The Production Operator at American Ordnance plays a crucial role in assembling and inspecting ammunition components to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. This position involves physical tasks such as moving materials and maintaining records, while also adhering to safety and environmental protocols. The operator is expected to contribute to continuous improvement efforts and work collaboratively within a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble inert and explosive components to rounds or subassemblies.
• Gauge, weigh, or examine rounds or production items for compliance with specifications.
• Physically push, pull, or lift loaded carts or rounds from storage areas to workstations.
• Visually inspect materials for imperfections and maintain quality control procedures.
• Stencil and pack completed items, loading them into railroad cars or truck trailers.
• Maintain records of production activities as required.
• Train others in safety, health, and environmental requirements.
• Continuously improve processes and systems to meet customer needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Successful completion of Medical Physical, Drug Screen, and Background Check.
• Minimum Bronze Level of the National Career Readiness Certification.
