About the position

We are seeking a skilled Alarm Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems to ensure the safety and security of our clients' properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting various alarm technologies, working both independently and as part of a team to provide exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure alarm systems, including CCTV and access control systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on existing alarm systems.
• Troubleshoot issues with alarm systems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and configurations.
• Utilize power tools safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks.
• Communicate with clients regarding system functionality, upgrades, and any necessary repairs.
• Document all service calls, installations, and maintenance performed in a clear and concise manner.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in alarm technology.

Requirements

• Proficiency in telecommunication systems related to alarm technology.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to security systems.
• Experience with locksmithing techniques for secure installations.
• Ability to detect issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
• Familiarity with power tools used in installation processes.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and their integration into security frameworks.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics for installation purposes.
• Experience in field service roles, providing on-site support for clients.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant certifications in alarm technology or related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
