About the position
The Airline Passenger Assistant, also known as the Wheelchair Agent, is responsible for providing essential passenger services to individuals requiring wheelchair assistance at airports. This role emphasizes customer service and safety, ensuring passengers are transported safely and efficiently to their desired destinations. The position allows for on-the-job training, making it suitable for individuals entering the workforce or returning after a break.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety precautions at all times while transporting passengers
- Engage in positive interpersonal interaction with passengers
- Comply with all client and/or site security requirements and processes
- Safely transport passengers in wheelchairs from their retrieval point to their desired destination within the client site or grounds
- Assist passengers with baggage retrieval and transport, if necessary
- Coordinate assignments with dispatchers and gate agents, if necessary
- Complete thorough Incident Reports
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
- No experience required and on the job training provided
Nice-to-haves
- One (1) year of customer service experience preferred
