About The Position

National Star Services, a 27-year-old facility management company, is seeking a Flight Checker for its Des Plaines, IL 60018 location. The Flight Checker will be responsible for ensuring all airline catering items, equipment, and documentation are accurate, complete, and ready prior to flight departure. This role involves meticulous verification and adherence to strict procedures in a dynamic operational environment.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
• Must be authorized to lawfully work in the US.
• A Background check and Drug test will be conducted.
• Must have own transportation to get to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Check meals, beverages, equipment, and supplies against flight specifications.
• Verify special meals, class setup, and catering quantities.
• Inspect carts for cleanliness, labeling, and security seals.
• Ensure flights are finalized accurately and released on time.
• Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Support aircraft swaps and last-minute operational changes.
• Follow food safety, security, and company procedures.
