About The Position

RS&H is seeking an airfield engineering associate to join their aviation team in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves creating civil projects for airports across the U.S. using AutoCAD for geometric design. Responsibilities include working on runways, taxiways, aprons, pavement design (bituminous and concrete), and stormwater and utility infrastructure design under the guidance of senior engineers. The position requires occasional travel (<25%) for coordination with airports, airlines, the FAA, and construction management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Willingness to learn different software platforms such as AutoCAD.
  • Critical thinking skills and willingness to ask questions.
  • Teamwork and collaboration experience.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to triple-check work before submission.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Engineering Internship (EI) exam.
  • Intent to complete EIT or EI exam within six months of hire.
