About The Position

RS&H is seeking an airfield engineering associate to join their aviation team in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves creating civil projects for airports across the U.S. using AutoCAD for geometric design. Responsibilities include working on runways, taxiways, aprons, bituminous and concrete pavement design, and stormwater and utility infrastructure design under the guidance of senior engineers. The position requires occasional travel (<25%) for coordination with airports, airlines, the FAA, and construction management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Willingness to learn different software platforms such as AutoCAD.
  • Critical thinking skills and willingness to ask why when not understanding.
  • Enjoyment of working with a team and experience to prove it.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Triple-checking work before submission.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Engineering Internship (EI) exam or intent to complete within six months of hire.
