About the position
Aerotek is seeking qualified Aircraft Electronics Technicians for a direct hire long-term role in Edwards, California. The position involves providing engineering technical services related to airborne test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and ground support equipment. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of relevant avionics experience, with a focus on hands-on electrical, instrumentation, and avionics maintenance on aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering technical services to plan, design, modify, install, interface, test, evaluate, repair and document airborne test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Fabricate cable harnesses, populate electronic assemblies, and perform soldering, crimping, and wire terminations to interface equipment to sensors and test equipment.
- Upload and download instrumentation pods to/from aircraft.
- Select and operate test equipment such as multi-meters, O-scopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators for checkout, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair.
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of recent relevant avionics experience required.
- Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics and expertise in electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems.
- Proficient at troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits to the component level.
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or technical school, or a military equivalent is required.
- Must qualify for and maintain a Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on electrical, instrumentation, and avionics maintenance on aircraft highly desired.
- Expert-level troubleshooting and soldering capabilities.
