About the position
The Air Export Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in logistics operations, focusing on customer support and data entry within the freight forwarding sector. This operational position involves managing shipments, coordinating transportation, and maintaining communication with customers and overseas offices to ensure efficient logistics processes.
Responsibilities
- Arrange pickups for customers.
- Coordinate trucking transportation to and from the shipper or company needing shipment.
- Arrange ocean carriers for shipments.
- Communicate with overseas offices about shipments.
- Maintain constant communication with customers to update shipment information.
Requirements
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Detail-oriented with a strong go-getter attitude.
- Strong communication and customer-oriented skills.
- Ability to answer interview questions using the STAR method.
- Interest in the logistics field.
- Entry-level preferred with 5 years of office experience, or an AA/BA degree with 6+ months of retail/office experience.
- Capability to maintain good attendance.
- Experience in customer service, operations, logistics, and administrative support is advantageous.
