About the position
The Aide in the Addiction Treatment Program plays a crucial role in supporting nursing staff and ensuring a respectful and safe environment for clients. This part-time position involves direct client care, meal preparation, and maintaining cleanliness in client areas, while also providing transportation for clients to appointments.
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff with direct client care and the admission process.
- Prepare and serve meals for clients, ensuring food safety principles are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in client common areas and inspect client rooms after transfers or discharges.
- Transport clients to appointments for lab work or external visits, scheduling vehicles as needed.
- Monitor and restock kitchen and linen supplies, maintaining a sanitary kitchen environment.
- Check in visitors and monitor client visits with family or loved ones.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate required.
- One year of experience in direct patient care preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
- Certification in Food Service Sanitation must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
