About the position
Outlier is seeking experienced English writers to assist in training generative AI models through a flexible, remote freelance opportunity. The role involves reading, writing, and assessing AI-generated text to improve the accuracy and relevance of AI responses.
Responsibilities
- Read English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
- Write and rewrite prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
- Assess the factuality and relevance of text produced by AI models.
Requirements
- Experience as a professional writer or editor.
- Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a selective institution.
- Strong writing style with exceptional English-language spelling and grammar skills.
- Logic and reasoning skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of a given piece of text.
Nice-to-haves
