About the position
The Cardiac Interventional Radiology Technician plays a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to the heart and blood vessels. This position involves operating imaging systems, supporting proceduralists, and ensuring patient safety throughout various interventional procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist with coronary and peripheral interventional procedures such as angioplasty and stenting.
- Operate fluoroscopic and diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Monitor patient vitals during procedures.
- Manage contrast media injections and assist with post-procedure groin care.
- Document all patient data accurately in the EMR and PACS.
- Ensure adherence to sterile technique during all procedures.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as an interventional radiology technician.
- Knowledge of fluoroscopic equipment and radiographic techniques.
- Valid NJ radiographic licensure and ARRT certification.
- BLS certification from an AHA or accredited provider.
