About the position
The Agricultural Equipment Operator position involves operating large farm tractors and other agricultural machinery to cultivate, plant, and harvest crops. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions while performing tasks related to crop production and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Operate large farm tractors equipped with GPS for cultivating, tilling, fertilizing, planting, and harvesting grain and oilseed crops.
- Transport grain and oilseed crops from the field to storage facilities.
- Operate haying equipment for hay production, including swathing, raking, baling, stacking, and transporting from field to storage.
- Assist with vaccinating, ear tagging, and administering supplements to livestock.
- Assist with the maintenance and installation of poly pipe irrigation systems.
- Drive a pickup truck to obtain parts and supplies as needed.
- Perform daily repairs and maintenance on equipment, machinery, buildings, irrigation systems, and fences.
- Clean the location and equipment as necessary.
Requirements
- No prior experience required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures.
