About The Position

This business-to-business sales position is responsible for the sale of contract maintenance programs for material handling equipment and catalog parts sales. The role involves pursuing new business and developing key existing accounts in an assigned territory. The representative will analyze opportunities, identify key personnel, and develop strong business relationships through cold calls, presentations, and following up on leads. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts, conducting product demonstrations and sales presentations, and preparing quotations, cost reports, performance reports, and customer correspondence. A territory management plan is to be developed to maximize customer interaction for new business acquisition and customer retention through satisfaction monitoring. The role requires utilizing online resources to maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer files, and sales activity information, and discussing sales activities with management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Less than 2 years related experience.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and the ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program, or several years of successful sales experience a plus.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours to prepare for sales activities.
  • Possess several years of successful sales experience; business to business (B2B) experience; problem solving capabilities; strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and self-motivation; and the ability to work in a team environment.
