About the position
This position is designed for educators who are passionate about working with children, specifically those with Autism. It offers a part-time opportunity to apply teaching skills in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), helping children develop independence and critical life skills. The role provides flexibility in scheduling, making it ideal for teachers, teacher assistants, and paraprofessionals looking to make a meaningful impact after school hours.
Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based interventions to help children with Autism develop independence, positive behaviors, and critical life skills.
- Work closely with a team of clinicians to execute individualized care plans and skill-building strategies.
- Record client progress during sessions using electronic devices, ensuring accurate documentation for treatment plans.
- Create an encouraging, supportive atmosphere for each child, working to build rapport with both children and their families.
- Collaborate with families and Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to assess progress and adjust treatment strategies for better outcomes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A genuine desire to work with children and a calm, compassionate demeanor in challenging situations.
- A commitment to growing your skills and learning new approaches in the ABA field.
- Fluency in Spanish to effectively communicate with and support a diverse group of families.
- A commitment to make a 6-month commitment to work with clients and support their progress.
