About the position
The After-Hours Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment during evening shifts, ensuring that key areas are spotless and ready for the next business day. This part-time position involves working approximately 28 hours per week from Tuesday to Friday, with shifts starting around 6-7 pm.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload the dishwasher to maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including restocking supplies and ensuring all surfaces are thoroughly disinfected.
- Vacuum floors in offices, hallways, and common areas to maintain a clean and dust-free environment.
- Empty and take out trash from various rooms and dispose of it in designated areas.
- Wipe down shelves and surfaces as needed to ensure cleanliness.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report low inventory to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during after-hours shifts.
- Good time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and vacuum operation.
- Ability to lift and move trash bags and cleaning equipment.
Nice-to-haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial or cleaning experience is a plus but not required.
