About The Position

The Affordable Team Transaction Manager will partner with CRE Mortgage Bankers in processing all potential loans (both agency and non-agency execution). This role involves managing a pool of 2-3 analysts, providing training, development, and workload management. The Transaction Manager will work on all aspects of loan executions, act as a product specialist, and serve as the primary point of contact for CRE Mortgage Bankers to evaluate loan opportunities and assess Agency eligibility. For Agency execution, they will partner with Agency Underwriters to underwrite and size the transaction, managing the process from start to finish. For Non-Agency execution, they will collaborate with the Mortgage Banker, Head of Production, and FCS Team to determine the best capital source and manage the process once a capital provider is chosen. The role also includes working with support staff, underwriting, and credit in preparing loan submissions, and maintaining client/pipeline data in Salesforce with CRE Mortgage Bankers and Analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or equivalent education and related training.
  • Seven years of relevant experience within the commercial real estate finance industry.
  • Solid understanding and experience in commercial real estate and/or commercial real estate finance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills; including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and drive to succeed.
  • Ability to organize, direct and motivate others.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Capability to simultaneously handle a variety of assignments.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s degree in Finance or Real Estate.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, CoStar, Trepp and Argus.
  • Deep understanding of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lending programs.

Responsibilities

  • Work on all aspects of loan executions both agency and non-agency.
  • Partner with CRE Mortgage Banker to “pitch” various execution options, identifying the best execution outcomes for various products.
  • Act as product specialist across an array of various products.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the CRE Mortgage Bankers, evaluating the loan opportunity to assess if the loan is Agency eligible or not.
  • For Agency execution: Partner with Agency Underwriters to underwrite and size the transaction. Manage the process from start to finish.
  • For Non-Agency execution: Work closely with Mortgage Banker, Head of Production and FCS Team to determine the best source of capital. Once a capital provider is chosen, manage the process from start to finish.
  • Work with support staff, underwriting and credit in the preparation of the preliminary and final loan submissions.
  • Work with the CRE Mortgage Bankers and Analysts to maintain client/pipeline data in Salesforce.
