About The Position

The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for an affiliate faculty for in-person teaching of PSY 454 Cognitive Psychology. This class focuses on psychological processes such as attention, memory, problem solving, and language and examines current research, data, theories, and applications. The course will be taught in the Fall 2026 semester, running from August 24 – December 13. The class meets in-person on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30-10:45am.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field.

• Previous teaching experience
• Expertise in cognitive psychology.

Responsibilities

• Meet in-person with the class, as scheduled.
• Hold 1 hour of office hours per week.
• Participate in designing their own course in consultation with the chair of the department.
