About The Position

The Advocate - Iowa Braking Traffik will provide comprehensive trauma-informed and survivor-centered services to survivors of human trafficking (labor and sex trafficking). This position serves the following counties in Iowa: Scott, Clinton, Jackson, Muscatine, and Louisa counties. This position will collaborate with their team to meet the goals of providing quality survivor services, increasing survivor identification, increasing access to services, and increasing referrals. This position will provide short- and long-term culturally/linguistically appropriate services to promote the health, safety, and well-being of survivors. This position must be available and capable of participating in the 24-hour on-call rotation for Survivor Services, including day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage between 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m.–8:30 a.m., and full 24-hour rotations on weekends and holidays across all five counties served (Scott, Muscatine, Louisa, Jackson, and Clinton). This position requires reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. These responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the Supervisor - Braking Traffik & Iowa Domestic & Sexual Abuse. This position requires a flexible schedule that may include working some nights, weekends, and holidays. Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license in good standing and a vehicle with appropriate auto insurance are required.
  • Must be able to pass the motor vehicle record background check.
  • Any relevant experience in a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field.
  • 3 Years of experience working with survivor services in the human services field.
