About the position

Innovative Reasoning, LLC is recruiting for a Subject Matter Expert in Advanced Reconnaissance. The position involves assisting the lead military instructor with planning, coordination, and development of course material and exercise design, as well as liaising with MEF Information Group personnel to unify efforts associated with MEF level objectives. The role requires ensuring that the course is aligned with MEF level objectives and conducting briefings to key leaders to maintain course focus consistent with current demand. The SME will also assist in planning, coordination, and execution of scenario-based training objectives within MEU PTP, serve as an instructor/evaluator during pre-deployment certification exercises, and deliver lectures and hands-on training for military students in various courses related to reconnaissance and surveillance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead military instructor with planning, coordination, and development of course material and exercise design.
  • Liaison with MEF Information Group (MIG) personnel to unify efforts associated with MEF level objectives.
  • Ensure the course is nested and aligned with MEF level objectives.
  • Conduct briefings as required to key leaders, to ensure course focus is consistent with current demand.
  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of scenario-based training objectives within MEU PTP.
  • Serve as instructor/evaluator during pre-deployment certification exercises and at-sea periods.
  • Deliver lectures and hands-on training for military students in the classroom and field.
  • Provide instruction across various courses including CQTC, CQT-E, ARC, VBSS, EOTG Sniper Course, and Recon Interoperability Course.
  • Develop and provide instruction and training in support of operations focused on physical surveillance, force protection, encrypted communication techniques, operational security, and more.
  • Provide SME and support for MEU exercises including MEU Exercise 1, 2, 3, ARGMEUEX, and COMPTUEX.
  • Develop training environment that supports enabler integration and provides advanced training opportunities for Multi-Discipline Intelligence personnel.
  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of training courses and generating After Action Reports (AARs).
  • Meet requirements as EOTG high risk training instructor.
  • Serve as a Range Safety Officer (RSO) and conduct live fire training or exercises.

Requirements

  • Possesses completion certifications in Physical Security (I.E., PSP, PSC, or equivalent).
  • Certified and trained by a U.S. Department of Defense school in force protection routes, physical surveillance, sensor emplacement and employment, and counter surveillance techniques.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of common commercial computer applications (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.) and peripheral equipment.
  • Honorably discharged (DD-214 with the characterization of service and MOS, verification required), prior Staff Non-Commissioned (SNCO) or above in the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • No more than 5 years removed from active duty or contract assignment teaching or applying advanced reconnaissance and surveillance techniques.
  • Two Operational deployments minimum.
  • Minimum of 16 years of Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience or equivalent.
  • Six years of experience conducting reconnaissance and surveillance operations in permissive and semi-permissive environments.
  • Three years or more in tactical level operations conducting analysis and planning.
  • Experience as a tactical operator in USMC Reconnaissance or MARSOC or Army Special Forces.
  • Management / Battalion level experience with enabler integration and Operations/Intelligence fusion.
  • Three years' experience as an instructor at a USMC formal school, SOTG/EOTG, or a Joint Service, Interagency, or Civilian equivalent.
  • Expert Knowledge of how to operate military weapons including standard small arms.
