About the position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role at Monument Health is a part-time position focused on urgent care within the Rapid City area. The APP will work under physician supervision to manage complex patients and collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care. Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility in their specialty area under physician supervision.
• Manage selected at-risk or complex patients in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients' healthcare problems/needs.
• Perform clinical interventions, evaluate outcomes, and implement changes to the care plan.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation in accordance with facility policy.
• Order appropriate tests, procedures, and therapies in collaboration with medical staff.
• Recognize physical, developmental, and psychosocial distress of patients and provide appropriate interventions.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations.

Requirements

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification in South Dakota or Wyoming.
• 1+ years of clinical experience preferred.
• 1+ years of healthcare experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in urgent care settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
