About the position

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Advanced Acquisition Analyst to join our team. You will provide full-time hybrid (on-site/telework) support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Space Systems (MDA/SS), located at Schriever SFB, CO. Responsibilities

  • Provide full-time dedicated support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Space Systems (MDA/SS).
  • Support the development of Missile Defense System (MDS) acquisition policy, plans, processes, procedures, and guidance.
  • Develop Acquisition Plans, Justification and Approvals, Request for Proposal packages, Statements of Work, and Contract Data Requirement Lists.
  • Interpret MDA acquisition guidance to support acquisition planning and MDS program integration.
  • Prepare planning documents to coordinate integrated acquisition strategies within the MDS and OGA partners.
  • Prepare MDS acquisition documentation and executive-level decision papers.
  • Prepare and staff Directorate of Acquisitions actions for functional and technical review and comment.
  • Develop reports, information papers, decision papers, and briefings for senior leadership and external stakeholder leadership.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and performance for a DoD program.
  • Translate technical requirements into contract requirements.
  • Work independently or lead cross-functional teams to complete ad hoc tasks.
  • Organize and execute meeting logistics and represent the Directorate at higher-level meetings.
  • Track, coordinate, and manage information requests from both internal and external agencies.
  • Collaborate and troubleshoot problems to support the needs of the team.
  • Draft and brief complex acquisition solutions, including Other Transactions (OT) and hybrid acquisitions.
  • Demonstrate outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in related field with 10 years relevant experience; MA/MS, PMP or DAWIA Level III certification may substitute for 3 years of experience.
  • 10 years directly supporting a Federal Acquisition or DoD program(s) as an acquisition/program analyst overseeing cost, schedule, and performance.
  • 5 years in a DoD program management and integration environment providing strategic level analysis, communications, and staff coordination for executive level review.
  • Ability to prepare milestone decision packages or MDA equivalent.
  • Ability to prepare acquisition strategy for an Acquisition Strategy Panel and Acquisition Strategy Board or equivalent.
  • Ability to review, process, and formulate strategy products.
  • Ability to draft Acquisition Executive program correspondence/status reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in one or more program offices is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Current Secret Security Clearance Required.
