About the position

The Adult Education Adjunct Instructor for General Education - Math at East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a part-time role focused on providing high-quality education to adult learners. The instructor will deliver classroom and laboratory instruction in mathematics, supporting students from diverse backgrounds and helping them achieve their educational and career goals. This position involves curriculum assessment and enhancement to meet educational standards and student needs, all while adhering to accrediting regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent classroom and laboratory instruction in mathematics.
• Teach students in a general classroom, online, or hybrid setting.
• Assess and enhance the curriculum to meet educational requirements.
• Support students in gaining knowledge and training for their careers.
• Adhere to rules and regulations of accrediting organizations to ensure high academic standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field.
• Prior teaching experience in the content field.
• Strong passion for teaching and interacting with students.
• Must have 15 semester hours in Math in addition to the Bachelor's degree.
• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints (IVP) fingerprint card.
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) if born after January 1, 1957.
