About the position

The Wellness Coordinator LPN/RN at Brookdale Arvada is responsible for managing the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community, ensuring that residents' healthcare needs are met with respect and dignity. This role involves overseeing the quality of care provided, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with medication management protocols. The position offers opportunities for professional development and is focused on enhancing the overall health and wellness of both residents and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met.
  • Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity while providing quality care as their healthcare needs change.
  • Ensure consistent quality resident care and service delivery throughout all shifts, potentially assuming the role of a Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide as needed.
  • Assist in supervising community-based licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers, providing ongoing training and education.
  • Oversee and manage medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision/administration in the community.
  • Conduct periodic medication skills inventory checks and medication audits per Brookdale Guidelines.
  • Share on-call duties as required.

Requirements

  • Education as required to obtain state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN).
  • A minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Current LPN or LVN license.
