About the position

The Adolescent Residential Treatment Unit Specialist at Rosecrance, Inc. is responsible for supervising and providing direct counseling services to adolescent clients dealing with addiction. This role involves ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment while delivering program services in accordance with regulatory standards. The specialist will work as part of a team to facilitate recovery and support clients in their daily living situations.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise addicted adolescent clients.
• Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner.
• Deliver direct counseling services including individual, case management, group, and lecture activities.
• Participate as a team member in the delivery of addiction treatment services to clients and their families.
• Coordinate and supervise client recreational activities.
• Monitor assigned clients and assist with individual treatment plans.
• Develop and present patient lectures as scheduled.
• Facilitate focal group discussion sessions.
• Consult with treatment team members to plan daily therapeutic direction.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED and one year of addiction treatment experience or equivalent education and training.
• Valid driver's license.
• Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC) or able to be certified within 24 months.
• Skilled in behavioral management techniques.
• Ability to coordinate and present lectures for patients, parents, and community resources.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
