About the position
This position involves providing business and financial management support, program evaluation, and management expertise to the Program Office and PEO. The role includes assisting in the preparation of program acquisition documentation and conducting internal reviews to evaluate financial performance against approved plans.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing business and financial management support to the Program Office and PEO.
- Support the preparation of business portions of program acquisition documentation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of standard program analysis processes.
- Assist in implementing internal reviews for financial execution performance evaluation.
- Support all Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPB/E) activities.
- Assist in formulating budgets consistent with program planning submissions.
- Present and defend budget components to higher authorities.
- Prepare, justify, and defend impact statements and reclamas.
Requirements
- At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or DP-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Experience in formulating budgets consistent with program planning submissions.
- Ability to analyze financial data to identify potential solutions and implement plans of action.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of financial best practices including financial analysis, budget preparation, execution, and financial reconciliation.
- Knowledge of DOD appropriations such as OPN, O&M, RDTE, and SCN.
