About the position

We are seeking a customer service representative to join our team in Skokie, IL. This full-time position involves assisting business owners, the office manager, and technicians with various tasks including processing invoices, collections, customer service follow-up, answering phones, scheduling jobs, filing/scanning, and using multiple types of software. Successful candidates will have experience in an office setting and must be proficient in MS Office, Excel, Google Suite, and CMS systems. Strong verbal communication skills, organization, and problem-solving abilities are essential. A minimum of 2-5 years of office experience is required, along with some previous phone sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist business owners, office manager, and technicians with various tasks
  • Process invoices and collections
  • Provide customer service follow-up
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to emails
  • Schedule jobs in the company CMS system
  • Follow up with customers on work performed
  • Contact customers for payment collection using Quickbooks
  • Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and reports
  • File and scan administrative paperwork
  • Facilitate company newsletter using Constant Contact
  • Contribute to marketing via social media
  • Assist technicians as needed
  • Manage inventory and reorder supplies
  • Understand the ServiceMaster brand and services offered

Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred; high school diploma/GED accepted depending on skill levels
  • Previous administrative assistant/office experience required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required
  • Experience with Google Docs and Sheets required
  • Comfortable using multiple types of software
  • Strong personal time management and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependable and adaptable in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to manage highly confidential information
