About the position

The Administrative Assistant will manage all administrative and operational functions for their assigned shift at the Fontana, CA location. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth operations, effective communication with vendors and customers, and maintaining safety and organizational standards within the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily production data entry and processing of Bills of Lading.
  • Invoicing and communicating with vendors and customers.
  • Direct and control the flow of drivers at the location.
  • Coach, train, and provide feedback to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with Relogistics performance standards and safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized office and yard environment.
  • Conduct meetings related to safety and production.
  • Complete all production paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Communicate directly with the On Site/Plant Manager regarding employee issues.
  • Perform daily equipment checks on all industrial power equipment.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Answer the main phone and route callers appropriately.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and maintain filing systems.
  • Assist employees with general administrative questions regarding employment, pay, and benefits.
  • Perform data entry of facility business activity and basic financial data entry.

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED is required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of related administrative experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
