About the position

The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist at Baja Freight Forwarders is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including managing the reception desk. This role supports managers and employees, assists in daily office needs, and oversees general administrative activities within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the reception desk and greet visitors.
  • Provide administrative support to managers and employees.
  • Assist in daily office needs and general administrative activities.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls professionally.
  • Maintain filing systems and perform data entry tasks.
  • Prepare routine reports and correspondence.
  • Interpret vendor invoices and statements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Typing speed of 40+ words per minute.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work accurately and quickly under deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with customer service for at least 1 year.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications or similar products.
