About the position

The Banquet Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in providing administrative support to the Banquet department at the Battle House Hotel and Spa and Riverview Plaza Hotel. This position is responsible for streamlining operations, ensuring smooth banquet services, and maintaining effective communication with the Sales/Catering staff. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in specialized software for managing banquet operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient administrative support to the Banquet department.
  • Secure Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for scheduling purposes.
  • Process and post banquet checks, following closing procedures.
  • Update and maintain Banquet checks daily with actual guest counts.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and order additional labor from staffing agencies when required.
  • Produce comprehensive Progress Reports on a weekly basis, tracking budgeted versus actual performance.
  • Attend Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in various software and office tools, including NGS (Next Generation System).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with banquet operations and event management.
