About the position

The Executive Administrative Assistant will effectively support leadership development and district communications, as overseen by the Assistant Superintendent of Organizational Development, ensuring that buildings and ultimately students are best served. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and the ability to work independently while managing various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Office of the Assistant Superintendent of Organizational Development.
  • Possesses autonomy in performing some administrative functions through to completion.
  • Composes confidential and general correspondence, reports, memorandums, forms, and statistical data, either of action independently, or as assigned.
  • Performs budgeting, requisitioning, and bookkeeping tasks as needed following established district rules and regulations.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements for supervisors and other staff.
  • Communicates and coordinates meetings and schedules for the Assistant Superintendent of Organizational Development.
  • Possesses the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences based on the needs of the stakeholder group.
  • Coordinates a variety of celebratory, recognition-based events for staff members.
  • Possesses knowledge and application of district policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates effective human relations.
  • Ability to compose presentations, and board memos, and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Complies with all district rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Computer skills, strong organizational skills, multitasking, and the ability to work with little supervision required.
  • Relevant work experience including strong communication skills, organization, and coordination responsibilities.
  • Possess knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical attributes necessary to perform the position's essential functions.
