About The Position

Responsible for completing daily office activities of the feed location. Perform excellent customer service, assist with taking orders, billing, inventory, and all other daily tasks of the feed office.

Requirements

  • 2-4-year degree in an agricultural-related field or 2-4 years of administrative experience (agricultural background preferred).
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Strong math, communication, sales, and organizational experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bookkeeping,10-Key Calculator, Microsoft Office, Inventory, and Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
  • Previous feed sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Enter all incoming ingredients into the system with cost.
  • Make feed tags (changes or new) for medication, minerals, etc.
  • Print work orders and corresponding feed tags for upcoming deliveries.
  • Make monthly inventory adjustments.
  • Prepare and complete feed billing.
  • Respond to customer and employee emails as required.
  • Manage and Update Feed Price Sheets.
  • Monitor and Maintain Sales Incentive Programs.
  • Make ration changes as needed per Nutritionist request.
  • Train Others on AgVantage and Office Procedures.
  • Complete Reports for Outside Consultants.
  • Track Feed Division on defined KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Administer Milk Source A/R on Monthly Basis.
  • Effectively promote and aid in implementation of United Cooperative’s schedule delivery system (SDS).
  • Take orders for delivery, educate customers and prospects on the value, and the use of the SDS.
  • Coordinate with the SDS truck driver on customer needs and expectations, build and grow SDS database and data sheets for use in sales efforts by the SDS phone marketers.
  • Fill in for the SDS phone marketer as needed.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by Office Manager and/or Location Manager.
