About the position

The Credit Associate position within the Dealer Credit Administration team at Ally Financial is focused on providing essential support to dealer customers. This role involves managing wholesale accounts, processing transactions, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The Credit Associate plays a key role in maintaining dealer relationships and facilitating daily financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Process manufacturer receivables and associated adjustments.
  • Assist dealers with daily inventory management, including creation of receivables and inventory transfers.
  • Facilitate daily ACH transactions.
  • Ensure accurate posting of all payments and balancing of general ledger accounts.
  • Research and complete daily exception reporting.
  • Apply dealers' funds received in relation to wholesale credit lines and programs.
  • Research and resolve unidentified or misapplied funds.
  • Balance General Ledger activity.
  • Prepare and route exception reports.
  • Identify and deposit incoming wires.
  • Review supporting documentation for dealer funding requests.
  • Supervise and respond to incoming email requests received in group mailbox in a timely manner.
  • Provide customer service for automotive dealers.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years' experience in financial services or similar industry.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or related emphasis may be considered in place of experience.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of automotive dealership operations is a plus.
