About the position

Tiffin University invites applications for the position of adjunct professor in Human Resources Management, with a concentration in the MBA program. We seek dynamic and experienced educators to teach graduate-level Human Resources Management courses in an online format. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with motivated professionals and contribute to a rigorous and innovative academic program. This is a part-time position, and teaching assignments depend on course schedules, enrollment needs, and the candidate's area of expertise. Tiffin University's MBA courses are pre-designed by subject matter experts (SMEs). Adjunct faculty are not required to create new course content but are expected to deliver the existing curriculum effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Human Resources Management courses in the MBA program, including but not limited to: Management of Human Resources, Negotiations and Conflict Resolution, Human Resource Planning & Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Strategic Human Resource Management.
  • Teach online classes as needed in Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in an online learning environment, engaging with students asynchronously through discussions, assignments, and feedback.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, emphasizing critical thinking and writing skills, with grading completed within five days of assignment due dates.
  • Respond promptly (within 24 hours) to student inquiries and provide support to enhance their academic success.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and technologies to create an engaging online classroom experience.
  • Maintain expertise in the field of finance and integrate current industry trends and practices into course content.
  • Uphold a professional and positive tone in all communications with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Participate in efforts to support student retention and engagement.
  • Be a scholar in the area of Business Administration.
  • Adhere to Tiffin University policies and procedures.
  • Instruct and supervise a diverse population of students in the classroom.
  • Possess a commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence.
  • Ability or willingness to learn to manage class in an online learning modality.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Human Resource Management.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Human Resources Management graduate-level courses, preferably in an online format.
  • Evidence of strong teaching skills, supported by positive student evaluations from two consecutive semesters.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and fostering student success.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience designing and delivering online courses.
  • Professional experience in finance or related fields.
