About the position
The Adjunct Instructor reports to the Department Chair for Business and Technology. Duties include teaching economics courses and completing all duties associated with adjunct teaching. The instructor is responsible for planning and organizing instruction in ways that maximize documented student learning. Additionally, the instructor must develop, update, and post course syllabi in a timely manner, and perform related duties as required.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses as assigned, instruct and evaluate students.
- Participate regularly in professional development activities.
- Advise students.
- Complete administrative responsibilities by required deadlines.
Requirements
- Master's degree in any field with eighteen (18) graduate hours in Economics.
- Ability to deal with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in Economics.
- Higher education teaching experience.
