About the position

The Adjunct Instructor for Computer Information Technology will provide quality instruction in programming or database courses, focusing on student learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment. The role emphasizes teaching, evaluating students, and fulfilling administrative responsibilities related to course management.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and teaching classes as assigned and outlined in course descriptions and syllabi.
  • Supervising the study and learning activities of assigned students.
  • Submitting requests for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and instructional aids through the appropriate channels.
  • Evaluating the academic progress of students.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
  • Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required.
  • Scheduling two office hours and providing a written plan for student access if unable to do so.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the Programming and Database teaching field.

Benefits

  • Part-time work experience calculated at 50% of full-time experience.
