About the position
The Adjunct Instructor for Computer Information Technology will provide quality instruction in programming or database courses, focusing on student learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment. The role emphasizes teaching, evaluating students, and fulfilling administrative responsibilities related to course management.
Responsibilities
- Planning and teaching classes as assigned and outlined in course descriptions and syllabi.
- Supervising the study and learning activities of assigned students.
- Submitting requests for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and instructional aids through the appropriate channels.
- Evaluating the academic progress of students.
- Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
- Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required.
- Scheduling two office hours and providing a written plan for student access if unable to do so.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the Programming and Database teaching field.
Benefits
- Part-time work experience calculated at 50% of full-time experience.
