About the position
SUNY Westchester Community College seeks Adjunct Faculty to teach Elementary Italian 1 & 2. The position requires 4-5 contact hours dependent on class. Adjunct Faculty may teach up to three classes each semester at the main campus and satellite locations in Westchester County.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Italian or related field in Italian Studies
- Minimum of one year of experience
- Familiarity with course management systems
- Experience with online, remote, and in-person classes
- Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students
Nice-to-haves
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Second Language Acquisition in Italian or related field in Italian Studies
- Experience in instructional technology
- One year of classroom teaching in any level of Italian
