Adjunct Faculty, Funeral Service (Clinical Labs)

About the position

This Adjunct Faculty member teaches Funeral Service lecture courses to students pursuing a broad range of Associate in Arts or Associate in Science Degrees.

Responsibilities

• Teaches laboratory sections
• Evaluates and advises students
• Develops curricula
• Recruits students
• Participates in departmental and College affairs
• Serves on committees
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Associate in Science degree in Funeral Service Education or Mortuary Science from an American Board of Funeral Service Education accredited institution.
• One year of full-time work experience as licensed embalmer
• Valid State of Florida Embalmer license, or State of Florida Funeral Director and Embalmer License
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedule which may include morning, evening and weekend assignments

Nice-to-haves

• Preference will be given to applicants with (3) three years College level teaching experience.
